Each school in the district will have two $500 teacher grants available for special classroom projects. To secure one of these grants, a grant application must be submitted early in the school year. Application forms for the teacher grants will be available below by 8/22/25, with a deadline for submission no later than September 30, 2025. You can find the classroom grant application below.
While each school has two $500 grants, if the total of grants does not exceed $1000, it is possible to receive three or four grants. However, if you submit a grant request that exceeds a budget of $500, that request will not be considered unless you provide other funding sources.
As of November 1, 2025, there are no grant funds available from the NEF. You should also check out the Other Grant Sources.

The judging of grant applications for teacher grants is based on the following criteria:
- Originality (Innovation in classroom projects)
- Professionalism (well written proposals)
- Benefits to Students
- Student Involvement (Number of students impacted)
- Age appropriate
- Quality of project evaluation process
- Budget Details

We recommend that you complete the grant application for your classroom projects in one sitting. You might find it helpful to write your answers in Word first, then copy and paste them into the form. If you need to pause while filling out the form, your answers will be saved in your browser, allowing you to return to them later.
Additionally, we suggest that you save a copy of your grant request for teacher grants. Unfortunately, we cannot fund all requests, but by saving your information, you can edit and enhance it for the next application period. Grants are not usually given to the same person in two consecutive years.
